Most of you remember the fall of 2007, when we returned from the mission field on account of Emma's breast cancer. As a church body, you rose up and blessed us in so many tangible ways, helping us to weather that storm. By God's grace and mercy, Emma has enjoyed five cancer free years.

We have come to know that in His sovereignty, God has allowed Emma's cancer to return. Initial testing shows that, thankfully, Emma's liver and kidneys are healthy and functioning well. These same tests confirm that this is metastatic breast cancer, which means it has spread beyond the region of her original disease.

Caring for the Barnharts begins with three basic steps.

• Pray. Start here. James says that the effective prayer of God’s people accomplishes much. Pray that God will be glorified, that the Barnharts will experience God’s joy and peace, and that Emma’s treatment will be precise and effective.

Online giving has been added as an option for donors to directly contribute using a checking or savings account. Online giving replaces the current automated giving. Online giving will enable additional features for donors and reduce administration. In addition to automated giving, donors will be able to give one-time gifts and see giving history. The last automated gift using the current system will be June 29, and sooner if you are giving on certain schedules, for example, monthly.
