End_SlaveryFight Human Trafficking and Slavery

We are building awareness and engaging Calvary in the battle to end slavery in our time. The DVD At the End of Slavery is now available at  www.attheendofslavery.org to be purchased and shown in homes or small groups.

Justice Group

Like William Wilberforce (1759-1833), the British politician who led the movement to abolish slavery nearly 200 years ago, we are soldiers for Christ who can help in the cause to abolish modern day slavery. History is on our side, but most importantly, God is on our side. Join the Justice Group every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Fireside Room. We're reading Just Courage, God's Great Expedition for the Restless Christian, by Gary Haugen.

Coffee Sales

Through Feb 21, Calvary’s Justice Group will sell Veronica’s Cup Coffee in order to raise money for Veronica’s House (VH), a safe house for children rescued from the streets of Lima, Peru. VH was started a year ago by a woman named Lucy who invited street children to safely sleep in her office building at night to protect them from the vulnerability of trafficking and even death; six hundred children came! Lucy began VH and with the help of Not For Sale, a campaign that equips and mobilizes people to re-abolish global slavery, are working to raise $100,000 to build a safe house in Lima for these children. Four dollars from each $12 bag of Veronica’s Cup Coffee sold, will be donated to VH towards their new aftercare facility.

5 Reasons to Buy Veronica’s Cup Coffee:
