Late last year, my wife, Amy, and I met with Emily Bawden of New Life Family Services. Emily wanted to share with us some ways we could help the Rochester office. She suggested a “wish list” (see below), which includes advertising possibilities and DVDs/videos needed for increasing education. This list was given especially to us and we feel it would be best served to share it with the entire church body.

New Life Family Services offers comprehensive services to assist with pregnancy needs, including free pregnancy tests, decision-making counseling, practical assistance, and licensed adoption services to help in making a decision about pregnancy. They are a critical service in changing the minds of those who are considering abortion and in preserving the sanctity of life.

Amy and I feel led to help with the advertising campaign in the local theaters and are seeking fellow donors. The advertising will take place on the movie screens before a movie begins. This will be a great way to reach those in need and is especially effective in reaching those in their teens and early twenties. Amy and I are seeking two others willing to donate $300 with us, for a total of $900 to be used for donation matching. Of course, we are also looking for those willing to donate funds to be matched. Each dollar donated will be matched so that we can reach the $1800 needed for six months of advertising. You can make your gift in the form of a check made out to New Life Family Services. Please send your donations to the Calvary office or put them in our mailbox (#103) in the foyer.
