Therefore, I have NO trouble believing He kept Jonah alive for three days in the belly of a fish. Sometimes He employed drastic, radical, or extreme measures to catch the attention of human beings. Even today, we often experience His provision of "vacations for contemplation" (T.Olson, Sermon notes 2/4/07) of His will and our obedience or surrender to it.
