New Leadership Board Members

The qualifications for becoming a member of the Leadership Board are described in the By-laws of our church constitution. “Leadership Board members will reflect observable spiritual maturity that includes those spiritual directives as found in Deut. 17:14-20, Acts 6:1-4, Gal. 5:22-23, I Tim. 3:1-13, and Titus 1:6-9. Leadership Board members will have demonstrated good leadership qualities and will participate in the Church’s ministries as servant leaders.”

This month I thought I would write briefly about some of the topics being discussed and decisions made by the Leadership Board in the first part of this year.

This month, Pastor Todd and I are writing about our facility and the future. Several months ago, a facilities task force was formed to take inventory of our facility and recommend what we could do to make the best use of our current building. This action was in response to your input from Charting a Higher Course (CAHC) and, in particular, to one of the key objectives in CAHC; to become a church of 1200 by the year 2009. We understand that our desire as a church is to reach out more and experience half of our growth as a result of new people coming to faith. If we experience that growth, we need to know that our facility can accommodate it.

This month I thought it might be helpful to re-cap the annual business meeting that was held on January 28, 2007. A spaghetti meal preceded the meeting and the turnout was strong. We estimated around 150 people attended the meal and meeting.
