Encountering God in Prayer

King David sought the good hand of God in times of need or trouble. David sang, When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek” Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! (Ps 27:8-9). After God had removed fleshly Saul, He raised up David to be Israel’s king, concerning whom God testified, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will (Acts 13:22). Doing God’s will was a joyful byproduct of David’s relentless pursuit of God. God is prompting the hearts of a number of His Calvary family to pursue Him together in informal worship and prayer.
