Women's Ministries Coordinator

 Dianne Orth

It is with great pleasure and much excitement that I tell you that Mrs. Dianne Orth, wife of Pastor Larry Orth, will be taking on the responsibilities of the Women's Ministries Coordinator for our church. Unbeknownst to many, Dianne has been involved over the last three years behind the scenes helping to guide and develop the current organization of Women's Ministries. Larry has brought her into many meetings and sought her advice over the years, so she is well acquainted with all of it. I love Dianne. I love her love for God and others. I totally appreciate her stability and sense of humor. She is a wise woman. She and Larry are an amazing team. They have portrayed a truly Christ-like marriage to me as I have watched them interact over the years, so I am really excited about this development. I will remain at Dianne's beckon call to help empower her. God is also working to bring other women into the team and I am looking forward to seeing Him continue to do HIS THING.

Yvette (WM Coord., 2005-2008)

Thanks for the intro, Yvette, but if you're over twenty, just call me - Dianne! I am married to Larry and I have been an Orth and at Calvary since 2001. Please pray for me as I step into the Women's Ministries Coordinator role. It's the biggest thing I've ever been responsible for (aside from caring for our four children and Larry!). I'm reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:10, "When I am weak, then I am strong" because He is strong in me! The spirit and focus of our ministry remains "Women Connecting Women to Jesus." We should actively tie that in with our church's vision statement, "Passion for Christ, Compassion for People," and with Pastor Todd's more recent challenge of "all to maturity, all to ministry, and many to leadership so we are inwardly strong, but outwardly focused." Women's Ministries wants to reach as many women at Calvary and in our city as possible through a real encounter with Jesus, and to promote spiritual growth and multiplication.  That's my prayer for Women's Ministries at Calvary.

Sometimes, people have asked me, "What's it like to be a pastor's wife?" Well, in ministry there is never a dull moment - how can it be when one sees lives transformed by a Hope that no other offers. Stay tuned as our team members organize and "fire up" for Fall 2008!

In His Service,

Dianne Orth
