The 10th Annual Great River Missions Trip

You are invited to be part of our 10th Annual Great Rivers Missions Trip.  This trip takes us to the inner-city of New Orleans, Louisiana to work with and support our mission there, Urban Impact Ministries.  This trip takes place over MEA week.  We offer two trip options to consider:

Option 1 - Trip A - Leaves Rochester on Saturday morning, October 13, at 6 a.m.  We will stay in a motel Saturday evening and arrive in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.  We will leave New Orleans on Saturday morning, October 20, at 8 a.m.   We will stay in a motel on Saturday evening, and arrive in Rochester on Sunday afternoon, October 22, at 4 p.m.  The cost is $300 for adults and $250 for students.

Option 2 - Trip B - This group will fly out of Rochester on Tuesday,October 16, at  5 p.m. and arrive in New Orleans in the evening at 10:20 p.m.  They will return with the rest of the team on Saturday as shown above.  Because of the airline, this trip is the same price as above.   Also, the full amount for this option must be turned in no later than September 15.  No further applications for Option B will be accepted after September 15.  

Right now, the mission in New Orleans is involved in many housing renovation projects.  We will work to help clean and rebuild housing.

Students should be at least 12 years old when accompanied by a parent.  Students not accompanied by a parent should be at least 16 years old.

Applications are available from the information center, the church office, or from Pastor Dave Hammond.  A $100, non-refundable deposit must accompany each application.
