It’s 2:10 pm at the Miami airport. We are sitting here at the terminal, waiting for time to pass….lots and lots of time to pass! Our seven hour layover is over halfway complete and exhaustion is beginning to set in. Even so, I am so excited for what God has in store for us for the next two weeks! There are so many opportunities to spread the good news of Christ.
It is especially interesting watching the diversity around us. So many people on so many missions. Maybe theirs will be spiritually fulfilling as well. Our group has an interesting make up of people. Some are in high school, some in college. There are some in healthcare, sales, banking or even retired. We are married, single, or dating. The “who we ares” have all been brought together so our heavenly Father can work through us. May the Holy Spirit guide us through the remainder of our day safely and prepare us for what lies ahead.
Psalm 16:1-2. Keep me safe oh God, for I have come to you for refuge. I said to the Lord, “You are my Master. Every good thing I have comes from You.”
We finally arrived to our destination around 11pm. Our flight was delayed in Miami, but in the end all went well. Customs was a breeze and Rick was there to meet us at the airport. The ride to Jarabocoa was a good opportunity to get to know Rick as he explained the culture and our new surroundings. Bed felt so good as our heads finally hit the pillows a bit before midnight. Bless you all back home. We send our love…please continue to pray for us as our adventure continues!
