Encountering God in Prayer
. . . King David sought the good hand of God in times of need or trouble. David sang, When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek” Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! (Ps 27:8-9). After God had removed fleshly Saul, He raised up David to be Israel’s king, concerning whom God testified, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will (Acts 13:22). Doing God’s will was a joyful byproduct of David’s relentless pursuit of God. God is prompting the hearts of a number of His Calvary family to pursue Him together in informal worship and prayer.
