prayer at Calvary

Join us for our Monday 5:30-6:30 PM prayer time at church in the Prayer Room.

Encountering God in Prayer

. . . King David sought the good hand of God in times of need or trouble. David sang, When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek” Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! (Ps 27:8-9). After God had removed fleshly Saul, He raised up David to be Israel’s king, concerning whom God testified, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will (Acts 13:22). Doing God’s will was a joyful byproduct of David’s relentless pursuit of God. God is prompting the hearts of a number of His Calvary family to pursue Him together in informal worship and prayer.

Prayer Opportunities

  • "PRAY FOR" Team +

Each Sunday, the PRAY FOR team will pray for the ministries, leaders, and Sunday needs of Calvary from 8:15 - 8:50 a.m. in the Prayer Room 110 in the hallway behind the Sanctuary. This prayer time is guided by a facilitator. Everyone is welcome to join us.

  • "Pray With" Team +

At the conclusion of all services, the PRAY WITH team is available to pray with anyone in the congregation who comes with a personal prayer need or praise. These people will come ready to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.

  • Emergency Phone Prayer Chain +

The emergency prayer chain is an opportunity to intercede on behalf of others in critical situations. Calvary has a chain of people to pray for urgent, time-sensitive requests such as life-threatening illness, injury, accidents, or death..

To access the emergency prayer chain, call the church office at 282-4612. Your pray request is then passed down through existing phone chains as soon as the request has been received. The prayer requests are kept confidential to those on the prayer chains unless permission is given to pass the request on to our e-mail prayer team.

To become a part of this prayer chain, please our  Prayer Chain Coordinator
